Sermon on Giving - 2 Corinthians 9:8-11

Main Verse – 2 Corinthians 9:8-11

PROMISE THAT COMES AS WE GIVE IN THIS MANNER

Our attitude of giving with generosity and cheerfulness flows from faith that God can supply us with ample resources (at all times) so that we will have enough for ourselves and share what we have with others.

3 THOUGHTS

A. Recognize all we have; all we have to give has been first given to us by God. (Notice: He supplies the bread and seed). Bread is for us (our needs) – He understands we have needs. The seed is for sowing.

B. As we give, we must have faith that God is able (and desirous) to reward our giving. He will multiply the seed you have sown.

C. As God increased their ability to give, and they increased in generosity, the rewards (fruits of righteousness) would increase accordingly. The outcome is so that we can be enriched in everything.

PRACTICALITIES

A. Before you come and bring your tithe/offering (pray and ask God what you should give)?

B. When you give. Thank Him for the ability. Thank Him for the finances to give. Do it with honor and worship in your heart.

C. Give in faith with expectation.
