The Holy Spirit has a crucial role in the Christian's life and is the present-day demonstration of God on earth today. After Jesus ascended, He sent the Holy Spirit to us. The Holy Spirit is our Advocate and our Helper.


This is the second post in this series.





25 Things The Holy Spirit Does In Our Lives - Part 2



25 - The Holy Spirit is the agent by which we are baptized into the body of Christ.


1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Gentiles, whether we are slaves or free, and we have all been made to drink of one Spirit.



26 - The Holy Spirit brings liberty.


2 Corinthians 3:17 - Now the Lord is the Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.



27 - The Holy Spirit transforms us into the image of Christ.


2 Corinthians 3:18 - But we all, seeing the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, as in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord.



28 - The Holy Spirit cries in our hearts, “Abba, Father”.


Galatians 4:6 - And because you are sons, God has sent forth into our hearts the Spirit of His Son, crying, “Abba, Father!”



29 - The Holy Spirit enables us to wait.


Galatians 5:5 - For we, through the Spirit, by faith, eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness.



30 - The Holy Spirit supplies us with Christ.


Philippians 1:19 - For I know that through your prayer and the support of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, this will result in my deliverance.



31 - The Holy Spirit grants everlasting life.


Galatians 6:8 - For I know that through your prayer and the support of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, this will result in my deliverance.



32 - The Holy Spirit gives us access to God the Father.


Ephesians 2:18 - For I know that through your prayer and the support of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, this will result in my deliverance.



33 - The Holy Spirit makes us God’s habitation.


Ephesians 2:22 - in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God through the Spirit.



34 - The Holy Spirit reveals the mystery of God to us.


Ephesians 3:5 - which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit,



35 - The Holy Spirit strengthens our spirits.


Ephesians 3:16 - that He would give you, according to the riches of His glory, power to be strengthened by His Spirit in the inner man,



36 - The Holy Spirit enables us to obey the truth.


1 Peter 1:22 - Since your souls have been purified by obedience to the truth through the Spirit unto a genuine brotherly love, love one another deeply with a pure heart,



37 - The Holy Spirit enables us to know that Jesus abides in us.


1 John 3:24 - Now the one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He remains in us, through the Spirit whom He has given us.


1 John 4:13 - We know that we live in Him, and He in us, because He has given us His Spirit.



38 - The Holy Spirit confesses that Jesus came in the flesh.


1 John 4:2 - We know that we live in Him, and He in us, because He has given us His Spirit.



39 - The Holy Spirit says “Come, Lord Jesus” along with the bride.


Revelation 22:17 - The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let him who hears say, “Come.” Let him who is thirsty come. Let him who desires take the water of life freely.



40 - The Holy Spirit dispenses God’s love into our hearts.


Romans 5:5 - And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.



41 - The Holy Spirit bears witness to the truth in our conscience.


Romans 9:1 - I am speaking the truth in Christ, I am not lying; my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit.



42 - The Holy Spirit teaches us.


1 Corinthians 2:13 - These things also we proclaim, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.


John 14:26 - But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.



43 - The Holy Spirit gives us hope, peace, joy.


1 Thessalonians 1:6 - You became followers of us and the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit.


Romans 14:17 - For the kingdom of God does not mean eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.


Romans 15:13 - Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.



44 - The Holy Spirit enables some to preach the gospel.


1 Peter 1:12 - It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, concerning the things which are now reported to you by those who have preached the gospel to you through the Holy Spirit, who was sent from heaven—things into which the angels desire to look.



45 - The Holy Spirit moves (inspires, stirs) us.


2 Peter 1:21 - For no prophecy at any time was produced by the will of man, but holy men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.



46 - The Holy Spirit knows the things of God and reveals them to us.


1 Corinthians 2:10-11 - But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man, except the spirit of man which is in him? Likewise, no one knows the things of God, except the Spirit of God.



47 - The Holy Spirit casts out demons.


Matthew 12:28 - But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.



48 - The Holy Spirit brings things to our remembrance.


John 14:26 - But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.



49 - The Holy Spirit comforts us.


Acts 9:31 - But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.



50 - The Holy Spirit makes some overseers in the church and sends some out to the work of church planting [through the body] .


Acts 13:2 - As they worshipped the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”


Acts 20:28 - Therefore take heed to yourselves and to the entire flock, over which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
